This is your chance to make a real impact in High Level and La Crete, Alberta.

Your Role:
As a Registered Dental Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to provide top-notch oral health care. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
-Assisting with clinic operations and patient treatments
-Mentoring dental students on intra-oral skills
-Providing transportation for students and instructors
-Ensuring clinic cleanliness and sterilization

This is an in-person position and the successful candidate will either live in one of the communities and be able to rotate between clinics on a weekly basis or be willing to fly into High Level and stay in the communities during the active periods.

The work schedule is based on the department’s academic schedule and operational requirements. This entails a rotating schedule for 32 – 35 weeks per year, with recurring inactive periods from mid-December to January and mid-July to early September with a few inactive weeks typically in February, March & November. The schedule for the school year is provided well in advance, which offers the perfect flexibility for the right individual.

Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma/Certificate from an accredited Dental Assisting Program or NDAEB Certification
Current registration with CADA, CDAA, along with a local association license
Current CPR: Health Care Provider Level C certification
Current class 5 driving license and the ability to qualify as a University driver

Company Description: The University of Alberta, School of Dentistry has a Dental Outreach Program that offers dental treatment in 3 northern Alberta satellite clinics, McLennan, High Level, and La Crete. In the last year of their studies our DDS and DH students attend rotations to offer much needed dental treatment to underserved communities. All treatment is lead by a licensed Dentist.
